Often the search for therapy begins when there is no benevolent witness to our pain. Depression, grief and trauma are difficult loads to carry alone. Welcome

“There is no pain on earth that doesn’t crave a benevolent witness.” (Sue Monk Kidd).

Often the search for therapy begins when there is no benevolent witness to our pain. Depression, grief and trauma are difficult loads to carry alone. The therapeutic relationship plays a central role in the healing process. Therapy is a place to learn how to hold both the beautiful and the shattered elements of our stories. I work collaboratively with my clients to foster a relationship where these stories can be shared and explored. Every person has developed a style of relating as a response to the world around us. In therapy we can explore how a person’s style of relating impacts current relationships and quality of life.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) serving clients in the greater Seattle area. I specialize in the area of trauma and abuse. I graduated with a Master's in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology (formerly Mars Hill Graduate School). I began my training in hospital emergency rooms throughout the Puget Sound, providing first responder care for survivors of adult sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and child abuse. I continued my training in Chiang Mai, Thailand providing counseling for Christian workers living all around the world. In addition to my private practice, I worked as a member of the Training Team for the Allender Center (theallendercenter.org) from 2013-2022 where I facilitated Recovery Weeks, Story Workshops, and the Lay/Professional Counseling Certificate programs. I consider it a sacred privilege to bear witness to the lives of my clients and help them hold, examine, and experience transformative hope that is birthed when stuck places are loosened, and they begin to believe that change is possible.   Click for more.
